‘Kwaku The Traveller’ hit maker Black Sherif has been sued by former financier Shadrach Agyei Owusu at the Accra High Court.
This suit comes on the back of claims that Black Sherif had abandoned Shadrach Agyei Owusu also known as Snap after he injected funds into his career.
In the writ of summons dated 11th April 2022, and sighted by hotgistghana.com, the plaintiff, Shadrach Agyei Owusu, is asking the court to prevent Black Sherif from performing at events without his consent.
It has been alleged by one DJ Slim that Black Sherif had abandoned a 7-bedroom house, a car and other personal items his manager – Snap made available to him for his personal use.
Black Sherif was reported to have signed a distribution deal with Empire Music without the consent of his financier, who purportedly has a business management contract with him. The contract allegedly requires Black Sherif to conduct all his activities through the financier who came on board to help the artiste.
Black Sherif is expected to respond to the suit in eight days.
Black Sherif’s latest song ‘Kwaku The Traveller’ had over 2 millions views on youtube just a week after its release and is topping global charts, making him the most sought-after artiste in Ghana in recent times.
